Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a medicine used for diabetes, can help reduce depression in people with bipolar disorder who also have insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is common in bipolar disorder and may worsen mood symptoms. The study will involve 20 adults over 12 weeks, measuring changes in depression severity and insulin resistance.
