Scientists test if crushing diabetes drug changes how body uses it
NCT ID NCT06962826
Summary
This study tested how the body absorbs the diabetes drug empagliflozin when taken in different ways. Fourteen healthy volunteers took the drug either as a whole tablet or dissolved in water and mixed with food. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to see if the way it's taken affects how much gets into the body.
