Scientists test if crushing a diabetes pill changes how your body uses it
NCT ID NCT06962826
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested how the body absorbs the diabetes medication empagliflozin when taken in different ways. Fourteen healthy volunteers took the drug either as a whole tablet or dissolved in water and mixed with food. The goal was to see if these different methods change how much of the drug gets into the bloodstream.
