What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new, drug-free way to manage chronic pain and other symptoms in lupus patients.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early feasibility study with only 30 participants. The therapy may not reduce pain for everyone, and results may not apply to all lupus patients.
