First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests a drug called emapalumab in 5 adults with a rare, fast-worsening lung disease caused by MDA5 antibodies. The drug aims to calm an overactive immune system to improve breathing and reduce the need for extra oxygen. Participants must have worsening lung function and high ferritin levels. This is an early-phase trial to see if the approach is promising.
