Zap your pain away? study tests electric therapy for knotty muscles
NCT ID NCT07315776
Summary
This study tested whether using a mild electrical current to stimulate muscles (EMS), combined with stretching, could help reduce pain and improve function for working adults with chronic muscle pain (myofascial pain syndrome). Researchers compared several combinations of electrical stimulation, stretching, and massage techniques during a single visit to see which provided the most relief. The goal was to find a safe, effective way to ease symptoms and improve quality of life for people with this common condition.
