Zap your pain away? electrical stimulation trial targets muscle knots
NCT ID NCT07315776
Summary
This study tested whether using a mild electrical current on muscles (EMS) combined with stretching could help reduce pain and improve function for working adults with chronic muscle pain (myofascial pain syndrome). Researchers compared the electrical stimulation approach to standard stretching and massage techniques during a single visit. The goal was to see which method provided the most pain relief and muscle improvement.
