ER-to-School asthma program aims to keep kids out of the emergency room
NCT ID NCT03952286
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to help children with asthma take their daily medicine. Instead of just giving a prescription at the ER, the medicine was given right there and then supervised at school. The goal was to see if this approach would reduce the number of kids who end up back in the ER for asthma attacks. 13 children aged 6-12 who had been treated for an asthma attack in the ER took part.
