Summary
This study tests whether customizing the electrical dose of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for each person can better treat depression and reduce memory problems compared to a standard dose. Researchers will enroll 50 older adults with depression who are already scheduled for ECT. Half will receive a personalized dose, half a fixed dose, and the team will compare mood and thinking changes.
