New CT technique may spare some cardiac arrest patients from invasive heart procedure

NCT ID NCT07388342

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a new CT scan method that checks for blocked heart arteries in people who survive a cardiac arrest, without needing extra medication or heart monitoring. About 30 adults who have regained a pulse after cardiac arrest will get this CT scan, and the results will be compared to the standard invasive angiography. If the CT is accurate, it could help doctors decide who truly needs an urgent heart catheterization and who can safely wait.
