NCT ID NCT03630614

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether electronic cigarettes containing nicotine help people quit smoking better than a standard stop-smoking medication (varenicline) or e-cigarettes without nicotine. About 650 adult smokers who want to quit will use one of these options for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see who stays away from regular cigarettes during the last month of treatment.
