Allergy drug could soothe IBS pain in new trial

Summary
This study tests whether ebastine, an allergy medication, works better than mebeverine (a common IBS drug) at reducing belly pain and other symptoms. About 200 adults with non-constipated irritable bowel syndrome will take one of the two medicines for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if ebastine provides more relief and improves quality of life.
