First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 150 adults with sepsis to see if a score called EASIX (based on routine blood tests) could predict who would die or have serious complications within 28 days. Researchers measured the score at the time of diagnosis and tracked outcomes like septic shock and kidney injury. The goal was to see if this simple tool could help doctors identify high-risk patients earlier.
