New sepsis trial aims to save kidneys and lives with early drug switch

Summary
This study compares two ways of using blood pressure medicines in people with septic shock, a severe infection that causes dangerously low blood pressure. About 2,800 ICU patients will either get vasopressin early or only as a rescue add-on to standard norepinephrine. The goal is to see which approach reduces death and the need for kidney dialysis within 28 days.
