Shower showdown: early bathing after bone surgery put to the test

NCT ID NCT06014411

First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether showering early after orthopedic fracture surgery is better than waiting. About 56 adults with arm or leg fractures will be split into two groups: one showers early without covering the wound, the other follows the usual delayed approach with covered wounds. The main goal is to see which group is more satisfied, and the study also tracks infection rates.
