NCT ID NCT07488013

First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether starting a regular diet early after colorectal surgery is better than the standard clear fluids approach. Researchers will measure how quickly bowel function returns, the risk of leakage at the surgical connection, and how long patients stay in the hospital. The trial involves 80 adults who have had a single large bowel anastomosis.
