First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether early, intensive treatment in a day hospital for teenagers with recent-onset anorexia nervosa can improve their health and reduce the need for emergency care or full hospitalization. About 164 teens aged 12-18 and their families will be assigned to either day hospital or standard outpatient care. The goal is to see if the day hospital approach leads to better long-term outcomes and helps families cope.
