Can a zap to the ear calm brain inflammation?

NCT ID NCT06467708

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to see if a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the ear is safe and practical for ICU patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. Researchers will check if this stimulation affects markers of inflammation in the blood and other body functions like heart rate and brain pressure. The goal is to gather information to design better future treatments.
