Can a zap to the ear calm brain inflammation?

Summary
This pilot study aims to see if a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the ear is safe and feasible for patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will enroll 42 patients to test the device and measure its effects on blood markers of inflammation, as well as vital signs and brain function. The goal is to gather initial data to inform the design of future, larger studies.
