Zapping the ear to tune the brain: scientists probe a new wellness technique
NCT ID NCT05801809
Summary
This study aims to understand how a gentle, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the ear affects brain networks and the body's automatic nervous system. Researchers are testing this on 44 healthy volunteers to see how it changes brain wave patterns and heart rate variability. The goal is to gather basic science data to help design better future studies for conditions like pain, depression, or anxiety.
