Zapping ear nerves to fight Kids' sickle cell pain

Summary
This study is testing a small, non-invasive device placed on the ear to see if stimulating nerves there can help reduce pain in children hospitalized with sickle cell disease. The goal is to find a safe alternative to strong pain medications like opioids. Researchers will measure pain levels, daily function, and signs of inflammation in about 20 children to see if the device is helpful and easy to use.
