Gentle ear zap tested to fight frailty and sharpen minds in seniors
NCT ID NCT07416708
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear could help older adults struggling with frailty. For two weeks, 80 participants over 60 received either the real stimulation or a sham treatment alongside their standard rehab. Researchers measured changes in thinking skills, sleep quality, and body inflammation to see if the therapy made a difference.
