First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether putting warning labels directly on e-cigarette devices and refills makes adult vapers more likely to want to quit. About 1,369 US adults who vape daily or some days took part. They were randomly assigned to have their devices labeled with either a control message, a text warning, or a pictorial warning. Researchers measured their intentions to quit vaping over 4 weeks, and also checked if the warnings accidentally made them want to smoke instead.
