New hope for women with low egg count: cheaper drug may work just as well
NCT ID NCT06212102
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a cheaper hormone (dydrogesterone) can replace the standard drug (GnRH antagonist) to prevent early ovulation in women with low ovarian reserve who are undergoing two rounds of egg retrieval in one cycle. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two drugs. The goal is to see if dydrogesterone is just as effective and more cost-friendly.
