5-Minute MRI scan could spot hidden breast cancers without dye
NCT ID NCT03607552
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study is testing a short (under 5 minutes) MRI technique called DWI that does not require a contrast dye. The goal is to see if it can find breast cancers in women with dense breasts that mammograms might miss. About 269 women with dense breasts will participate. If successful, this could offer a faster, safer, and cheaper way to screen for breast cancer compared to standard contrast MRI.
