First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a device called the DuoCor Ventricular Assist System, an implantable heart pump for people with advanced heart failure. Eight adult patients who needed support for both sides of the heart received the pump. The main goal was to see if patients survived for 3 months, either with the device, after a heart transplant, or after their heart recovered enough to remove the pump.
