Summary
This study tested a new device called the DuoCor Ventricular Assist System in 8 adults with severe heart failure. The device is implanted to help the heart pump blood. The main goal was to see if patients survived for 3 months after implantation, either with the device, after a heart transplant, or after their heart recovered enough to remove the device. The study also tracked hospital readmissions and side effects.
