Brain and body workout tested to help frail seniors

NCT ID NCT07035327

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a 10-week program that combines resistance exercises with cognitive tasks is a practical and acceptable way to help frail older adults who also have chronic pain. Researchers wanted to see if this 'dual-task training' could improve participants' frailty status, cognitive function, and pain levels. The study involved 38 participants in Hong Kong who were randomly assigned to either the new combined training program or a standard resistance exercise program.
