Brain and body workout tested to fight frailty in aging pain sufferers

NCT ID NCT07035327

Summary

This small, completed study tested a 10-week program that combined strength training with brain exercises for frail older adults living at home with chronic pain. Researchers wanted to see if this 'dual-task' training was practical and acceptable, and if it could improve frailty, thinking skills, and pain levels. Thirty-eight participants were assigned to either the combined training group or a standard strength exercise group.
