Double drug attack: new hope for tough Crohn's cases?

NCT ID NCT06520397

First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining two drugs (upadacitinib and ustekinumab) is more effective than increasing the dose of just one drug for people with Crohn's disease who didn't get better with standard treatment. About 214 adults with active Crohn's will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups. The main goal is to see if the combination therapy leads to better healing of the gut lining after 16 weeks, while also checking for side effects.
