Summary

This study looks at whether dronabinol, a drug similar to THC in cannabis, can reduce pain sensitivity and improve thinking and mood in people being treated for opioid use disorder. About 36 adults aged 18-70 who are stable on methadone or buprenorphine will receive either dronabinol or a placebo before their daily dose. Researchers will measure pain, attention, and emotional responses to see if dronabinol helps manage pain without increasing abuse risk.
