NCT ID NCT06041789

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether donepezil, a drug already used for Alzheimer's, can improve bone health and lower fracture risk in older adults with mild to moderate Alzheimer's. About 45 participants will take either donepezil or memantine daily for 12 months. Researchers will measure bone density and blood markers of bone turnover to see if donepezil offers extra protection.
