Summary

This study looks at whether donepezil, a drug used for Alzheimer's, can improve bone health and lower fracture risk in older adults with mild to moderate Alzheimer's. About 45 participants will take either donepezil or memantine daily for 12 months. Researchers will measure bone density and blood markers to see if donepezil helps protect bones.
