Virus injected into brain tumors shows promise for kids with no other options

NCT ID NCT07424092

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment called DNX-2401, a virus that is injected directly into brain tumors to kill cancer cells. It is for children and young adults (up to age 39) whose high-grade brain tumors have come back or not responded to standard treatments. The goal is to see if this single injection can shrink the tumor and help patients live longer, while also checking for side effects. About 39 participants will receive the injection during a biopsy surgery and be followed over time.
