DNA test challenge: new method takes on standard UTI diagnosis
NCT ID NCT06808451
Summary
This study compares two different methods for diagnosing urinary tract infections (UTIs) in adults with symptoms. Participants are randomly assigned to have their UTI diagnosed using either the standard urine culture method or a newer DNA-based test called PCR. Researchers want to see which method leads to better symptom relief, fewer antibiotic changes, and faster treatment.
