First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares two medications, aminophylline and furosemide, to see which one helps the kidneys produce more urine after heart surgery. About 106 adults having elective heart surgery with a heart-lung machine will be randomly assigned to receive one of the drugs. The main goal is to measure urine output two hours after the procedure, with follow-up checks at 8 and 48 hours.
