One-Size-Fits-All blood thinners challenged: new study tailors treatment to each patient

Summary
This study tests whether giving blood thinners based on each person's risk level after hip or knee replacement works better than the standard one-dose-for-all approach. About 10,000 adults having elective hip or knee replacement will be assigned to either standard care or a personalized plan: low-risk patients get a shorter course to reduce bleeding, while high-risk patients get a stronger, longer course to prevent dangerous clots. The goal is to find the right balance that lowers both clots and bleeding complications.
