Summary
This study tested whether a digital, community-led program could help reduce the risk of HIV and hepatitis C in rural areas heavily affected by the opioid crisis. Over 500 people from Appalachia and the Midwest were assigned to either try the new digital program or receive standard information. The program aimed to connect people to testing, treatment, and support services while building stronger community bonds to tackle these health challenges together.
