New digital eye could spot bile duct cancer earlier
NCT ID NCT03307382
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests a new digital scope that lets doctors see inside the bile duct more clearly during a standard procedure. The goal is to better tell apart cancerous from non-cancerous narrowings, which is often difficult with current methods. About 40 adults with suspected bile duct blockages will take part. If successful, this could lead to more accurate diagnoses and better treatment decisions.
