First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested three different eating plans in 135 adults with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) to see which best reduces stomach pain, bloating, and other symptoms. Participants followed either a low FODMAP diet, a diet using Tritordeum (a type of wheat) foods, or general dietary advice for 12 weeks. The goal was to find a tasty and easy-to-follow diet that helps people feel better.
