Summary
This study tested whether reducing dietary acid with fruits and vegetables or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) can slow chronic kidney disease in people with high blood pressure. 153 participants were followed for 5 years to measure kidney function and heart risk markers. The goal is to find a simple, affordable way to protect kidneys.
