Meat or fat? diet study aims to ease arthritis and bowel disease symptoms

Summary
This study tests whether a ketogenic (low-carb, high-fat) or carnivore (meat-only) diet can improve quality of life and reduce symptoms in 160 adults with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) or rheumatoid arthritis. Participants are randomly assigned to one of the diets or a wait-list group for 12 weeks, then the wait-list group also starts a diet. The study tracks symptoms, lab markers, and overall well-being over 24 weeks.
