What you eat may show up in your brain: new study recruits 300 healthy adults
NCT ID NCT07312994
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether being vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore changes certain brain-related proteins in the blood of healthy young adults. Researchers will measure two markers (NfL and GFAP) in 300 people aged 18-40 who have followed their diet for at least a year. The goal is to understand how diet might influence brain health, not to test a treatment.
