First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at 13 people with reflux or swallowing problems to see which breathing positions create the most pressure at the junction between the esophagus and stomach. Researchers used a thin tube to measure pressure while participants performed different breathing maneuvers. The goal was to find the best way to strengthen the diaphragm muscle, which may help reduce reflux symptoms.
