Could a diaphragm pacemaker boost a failing heart?

Summary
This early study tests a new way to help the heart pump by pacing the diaphragm through a vein near the heart. Ten heart failure patients already scheduled for a standard heart device will also receive this temporary pacing. The goal is to see if it's safe and can improve heart function and quality of life.
