Diaphragm pacing: a new way to help a failing heart?

Summary
This early study tests if electrically pacing the diaphragm (the muscle that helps you breathe) can improve heart function in people with heart failure. Ten adults already scheduled for a heart device will get temporary pacing during their procedure. Researchers will check if it's safe and if it helps the heart pump better, with a one-week follow-up after discharge.
