First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests if a thorough health screening plus a tailored exercise program can reduce falls, fractures, and heart issues in people aged 65+ with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. About 490 participants will be assigned to either the exercise program or usual care and followed for up to 5 years. The program combines strength, balance, and coordination exercises with music, and may also include medications to improve bone and heart health.
