Study tests gentler blood sugar control during labor for diabetic moms

Summary
This study is comparing two different approaches to managing blood sugar during labor for pregnant people with type 1 diabetes who use an insulin pump system. Researchers want to see if allowing blood sugar to be in a slightly higher, more permissive range (70-140 mg/dL) is just as safe for the newborn as keeping it in a very strict, lower range (70-110 mg/dL), which is the current standard. The main goal is to check if the more relaxed approach does not increase the baby's risk of having abnormal blood sugar levels right after birth.
