Diabetes pill gets surprising new role: fighting early lung cancer
NCT ID NCT07235280
Summary
This early safety study is testing if a diabetes drug called dapagliflozin is safe to give to people with early-stage lung cancer before their surgery. Researchers want to see if taking the pill for 30 days before the operation helps make the surgery more effective by reducing cancer cell growth. The study will enroll 48 adults with stage IA lung adenocarcinoma who are already scheduled for surgery.
