First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of two drugs (dextromethorphan and bupropion) works better than standard antidepressants (SSRIs) for adults with major depression. 80 participants were randomly assigned to one of the two treatments for 6 weeks. The goal was to see how many people achieved remission and how much their symptoms improved. The study is complete and aims to find a more effective option for treating depression.
